Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until tender, about 5 minutes. Remove bacon and set aside. Add the onion and garlic and cook in the bacon fat until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in cabbage, paprika, sugar, salt, and pepper. confused to combine. Stir cooked bacon in skillet with cabbage mixture. Simmer the cabbage over low heat until it reaches the desired consistency, 20 to 30 min. Serve hot or lukewarm.
